The situation
My systems administration work started at Palma Solutions and easyCut!, and I received the title officially at Lunarpages. HostLabs is where it consolidated: system administration only, for VPS and dedicated server customers.
What I did
- Server setup, deployment, troubleshooting, optimisation and management.
- Server and network security: firewall setup and attack mitigation, intrusion detection and prevention, security and integrity audits.
- Backups, redundancy and contingency plans, disaster and data recovery, data migration.
- Server and application monitoring with Nagios, and customer support for the same customers.
